How can I be sure that my piece of jewelry is an original Rafika Weiss creation?
At Rafika Weiss, we value transparency and authenticity, and we want you to know the dedication and skill behind each piece of our jewelry.
Every item in the collection is lovingly handcrafted by the artist herself, Rafika Hassan at her home-based atelier in the charming town of Heidenau, Germany where she pours her heart and soul into each creation, from drafting the initial concept to the final finishing touches, ensuring every step is carried out with precision and passion.
While we source some metal findings like clasps, chains, and earring hooks to complement the design, the essence of each piece remains rooted in our handmade craftsmanship.

What types of metal used in Rafika Weiss creation?
We used 14k gold-filled and 23k/24k gold-plated, 950 silver, stainless steels along with along with gemstones, crystals, pearls, and glass beads.
Additionally, some of our designs call for the aesthetic and artistic look of brass and copper.

What is 950 silver?

Are they Hypoallergenic?
At Rafika Weiss Atelier, we primarily use 14k gold-filled, 23K/24K gold-plated (Fine Gold-Plated), 950 silver, stainless steel findings, along with gemstones, crystals, pearls, and glass beads.
While these materials are inherently hypoallergenic, they may still cause allergies for some individuals in rare cases.
We make every effort to clearly describe the metal components in our pieces, including details on sealed and tagged earrings. However, if you have sensitive skin or known allergies to certain metals, you might prefer options like solid gold or solid silver, which do not contain base metal alloys.
When it comes to earring posts, we understand the importance of using hypoallergenic materials. That's why we exclusively use gold-filled, gold-plated, ..950 silver or stainless steel findings for these parts, ensuring they are gentle on your skin as these metals are inherently Hypoallergenic.

Will Rafika Weiss Jewellery Oxidize?
Yes, they will! Generally, every metal undergoes oxidation when it comes into contact with air and moisture including solid gold and silver. However, this is a natural process and perfectly normal—it doesn't mean there's anything wrong with your jewelry.
In fact, there's a special beauty in the patina that forms as a result of oxidation. It adds character and uniqueness to each piece, giving it a distinct, aged look.
At our Atelier, we see oxidation as a positive thing. Jewelry is meant to be worn and enjoyed, and the signs of wear and aging are just part of its journey. Embrace the imperfections and unique qualities of your pieces—they're all part of their story! 😊
How do I care for my creation?
All metals naturally undergo oxidation over time, whether it happens quickly or slowly. If you want to keep your jewellery looking pristine for as long as possible, here are some suggestions on how to care for your pieces where you will find advice for each of your creations and for their gemstones and materials.
What should I do if I have a problem with a Rafika Weiss creation?
We strongly recommend that you contact our artist if you have a problem with your creation or if you have any questions about care or services. Any type of adjustment or modification carried out outside our studio carries the risk of damaging or altering the integrity of your creation.
How long does it take to repair a Rafika Weiss creation?
The lead time for each intervention may vary depending on the complexity of the work required. Kindly contact us and dicuss with our artist to give you an approximate duration. But the creation is always carefully examined by our artist in the studio, where a final diagnosis, cost and duration are established and submitted to you for approval.

Some of the Rafika Weiss creations are labelled as Limited Collection or Sold-Out, will these pieces be re-stocked?
Our artist created her handmade jewellery pieces in limited numbers to ensure their uniqueness and special touch.
While not all sold-out pieces can be remade as they are one-of-a-kind and exclusive, we are happy to discuss the possibilities to customized pieces that has similarities with the original artwork.
If you see something you love that's sold out, please feel free to contact us about a personalization request.
How long does it take for my personalization creations be made?
The time it takes for personalization can vary based on several factors, including the complexity of the design, the availability of materials, and the artisan's workload. However, here are some general guidelines that can be considered reasonable:
Design and Production Time:
Simple Designs:
Timeframe: 1 to 2 weeks
Examples: Basic earrings, simple necklaces, or bracelets that do not require extensive detailing or special materials.
Moderately Complex Designs:
Timeframe: 2 to 4 weeks
Examples: Pieces that include intricate beadwork, stone settings, or mixed materials that require more detailed work and precision.
Highly Complex or Custom Designs:
Timeframe: 4 to 6 weeks (or more)
Examples: Custom designs that involve unique elements, personalized engravings, or intricate metalwork. This can also include designs that require sourcing special materials.

What delivery options are available?
We offer free standard delivery with tracking number above a certain minimum amount as stated in our Shipping Policy and insured for all our pieces worldwide.
Kindly note that our complimentary standard shipping does not encompass expedited delivery. Should you desire a faster service, we would be pleased to assist. Please reach out to us here prior to finalizing your order, and we will present you with the available expedited shipping options and their respective costs. Advance payment for expedited services will be required.

When will my order be delivered?
Depending on the region and location of your given adrress, the extimated shipping time are as follow:

Can I have my order delivered to a hotel or my workplace?
Your order can be delivered to your workplace or holiday destination, however, we do not deliver to hotels or hospitals. Please note that in all cases a signature will be required upon delivery.

All transactions on www.rafikaweiss.com are secured and encrypted thanks to the HTTPS and SSL protocols to protect your data.
Is the price inclusive VAT?
As a small bussiness under the German Kleinunternehmerregelung, no VAT charged under § 19 of the German VAT Act. However, customers may be required to pay VAT and import duties based on the regulations in their own countries.
Will there shipping inclusive of the Import and Customs duties?
Import and Customs Fees are only applicable when the destination of the delivery is not part of the European Union States (non-EU). This shipping method does not includes all duties, taxes and fees associated with delivery to Non-EU States. The customer is responsible for any additional charges upon delivery.
Important Notice: For your convenience, we offer an exclusive service to manage all import duties and customs charges on your behalf (Delivered Duty Paid - DDP). Should you wish to take advantage of this service, a separate invoice will be issued to cover the additional costs. How do I order on www.rafikaweiss.com?
All creations with the "ADD TO CART" button can be purchased online.
Creations that labelled as 'PRE-ORDER' can also be purchased online but depending on the ready-stock, the delivery will require certain time-frame before the delivery take place. This time-frame allow our artist to craft the piece made per your order. For the estimation of time-frame, you may refer to the question regarding 'Order and Availability'.
How many items can I purchase in one order?
You can purchase a maximum of five creations per purchase.
Please note that the following quantity restrictions may apply:
• Maximum of (1) limited edition creation per customer.
• Maximum of (2) creations of the same reference per customer per year.
• Maximum of (5) creations per customer per month.
What if a product is not available or sold-out?
If you would like to purchase a creation that is not currently available, please contact our artist to provide you with further information.
How can I change or cancel my order?
We are sorry to hear that you wish to cancel your order. While we are saddened by your decision, we fully respect your right to do so.
To proceed with the cancellation, please contact us directly within 24 hours of payment.
To Initiate a cancellation, please reach out to us by filling-out our contact us form and state your intention to cancel. This will help us ensure a smooth refund process for you.
However, please note that any custom or made-to-order items are not elligible for cancellation or refund.
